Welcome to the Norfolk Storm!! It was so great meeting everyone at the Black Gay Pride Festival at Mount Trashmore. We had such a blast sharing rugby and we are so grateful that so many of you want to support us.

As a reminder, we won't have home games until the fall 15s season starts in August. We will have away tournaments throughout the summer where we will be competing in 7s tournaments. We are attending Wine Country 7s (Charlottesville, VA June 6), Cape Fear (Wilmington, NC June 19-21), and Christmas in July (Richmond, VA July 11).

If you don't know the game of rugby too well, that's okay!! Come watch our games to learn more! In the meantime, so you have more of an idea about what rugby is, let us share a little. Rugby has two different ways to play. There is 7s, which you've seen in the Olympics, where there are 7 players on the field from each team. These are fast paced 14 minute games where players have a lot of speed. There is also 15s, which is where there are 15 players from each team on the field. This game is a bit slower and is an 80 minute game. There are also two categories of positions, forwards and backs. Forwards are the power players, big hitters and are typically slower runners. Backs are the fast, agile, shifty players that can juke and out run others. While this is just a little bit of a breakdown, there are some videos attached that should help you learn some more about rugby before the fall season starts!

As always, you can reach out through instagram or email with any questions or concerns! Instagram @norfolkstorm and norfolkstorm@gmail.com

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO SHARE RUGBY WITH YOU!!!
